“Mapping the potential – Profiles of Canada’s biotech frontiers,” is BioTalent Canada’s first labour market information report that includes both national and provincial bio-economy snapshots. BIOQuébec has already made several governmental representations ahead of this fall’s provincial elections. Last month, the network spoke to the Quebec Liberal Party, the Coalition Avenir Québec, and the Parti Québecois about some of the issues facing its members and offered concrete solutions.
The following recommendations were submitted to the Minister of Finance and to the Minister of the Economy, Science, and Innovation. Their objective is to foster the growth of innovative businesses, facilitate their integration, support innovation, and recognize the contributions of the life sciences industry.
BIOQuébec welcomes the Québec government’s 2018-2019 budget, which is both balanced and focused on investments designed to improve the quality of life of the province’s population, a factor to which the biotechnology and life sciences industry contributes.
